Today is a brand new day filled with its own joys, challenges, and triumphs. Today's joys include smile across the room at my husband, gazing on a warm fire in our woodstove, and relaxing on the couch with my laptop on top of my lap. I am so blessed. The challenges of today include keeping my mind steady when I have the opportunity to worry, doubt and fret. Triumphs bring cheer and accomplishment to be my companions to face the joys, challenges, and triumphs of tomorrow.

Last Tuesday, my very healthy, wonderful husband went to work. He finished a conversation with a co-worker. They both turned opposite directions to go their separate ways. The workers standing around all heard this loud thud as my husband passed out. He was out cold for 2-3 minutes. His breathing stopped for about 30 seconds. The workers stood around discussing CPR when he exhaled. An ambulance had been called and was on the way. My husband is as healthy as you can be or so we think. He hikes miles at a time up mountains, down valleys, and jumps from rock to rock. As a matter of fact, he had hiked 7 miles the Saturday before.

He was rushed to the hospital where several test were performed (ekg, eeg, xrays, catscan, mri). All test came back clear. Seisure, Stroke, and Concussion were all ruled out. He was checked out the following day with instructions to follow up with our family doctor. We went the next day to the family doctor who sent us to the heart doctor. Four more test have been ordered to rule out heart problems.

As I write this, I can look around my house. I see the wood stove with a gentle fire keeping us warm against the cold 32 degrees outside. I can look at my husband who is working on his projects at his desk. My house is generally clean. My life is blessed.

On a sidenote, my diet is doing well. I lost another half pound bringing my total loss since Dec.1 to 19 lbs. One more pound and I need to take another picture of my slowly slimming body.  The amount of weight is not near as important as my mindset. Steady as she goes! Never going back! Discarding all clothes that are too big. No need to keep them. If I don't want it on my hips, Ima not putting it on my lips!

This morning we are going to return the heart Holter monitor that we took over the weekend. Hopefully it is good and will not have to be done again.

Sunshine and Smiles to all of you!

DECLUTTERING

Am I seriously serious about dejunking, decluttering, and debunking my minds ideas of what I want my life to be.

YES!

I already have my theme for decluttering my bodySTEADY AS SHE GOES. This speaks to me that I have a plan and I am sticking to it.

Talking to Jessica this morning, I started the formulation of the theme of decluttering my house.
Three questions- Do I enjoy it? Do I take care of it? Do I love it? My theme will come.

Decluttering my budget will come in time.

On a side note: PINTEREST CAN BE DANGEROUS!

Notice of a difference

Yesterday, I had a big day planned including appointments, errands, and seeing friends.  My first appointment was around 10 to meet with an official at the local college (10,000 students+/-) to discuss a photography book taken at their Homecoming parade. My errands included hunting for some head pretties for a Valentine photo shoot and groceries. In my travels, I stopped by to give a dear friend a birthday gift.

I said all of that just to tell you what happened before I even got in the car to leave. I tried to get a few household chores done, head to the shower, and get dressed for the full day of "town".  I went to the closet, pulled out a nice red shirt (team color) and a button was missing. I found another shirt and then needed a small jacket. The first jacket was a snazzy, snappy black dress jacket that feels comfy and casual. The shoulders of the jacket were too big and hung over my arms about an inch on both sides which made the sleeves two inces too long. My fingers were barely visable. I threw it into a discard pile and moved to another gray soft sweater jacket. It also was too big. I had not noticed my weight loss in a big way until this jacket discard pile.

I said all of that to say that necessity dictates I declutter my clothes closet before I tackle the photo closet in my monthly declutter goals.
